Becx is a filmmaker, writer and photographer from Spanish Town, Jamaica.

Her passion for storytelling started during her formative years, as she pursued her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Film at the Savannah College of Art& Design and her Creative Writing Masters at the University of Oxford.

Her work is firmly rooted in her Jamaican heritage, as she explores the complexities of youth, culture and the global human experience.

Rebecca's breakthrough came with her debut short film, "Out of Many," a poignant exploration of Jamaican youth culture and privilege. The film captivated audiences and garnered critical acclaim, earning Rebecca recognition for her storytelling and directorial finesse. "Out of Many" played at numerous international film festivals over three years and continues to be streamed on Soliel Space.


Dedicated to amplifying Jamaican voices and narratives, Rebecca is committed to ensuring that her homeland finds a place in the mainstream consciousness. Her work reflects a deep understanding of the cultural nuances and stories unique to Jamaica.
